ICARIA presented to the scientific community and European regions at the 7th ECCA Conference
Beniamino Russo, ICARIA’s Coordinator, and Àlex de la Cruz, the Project Manager, participated in the 7th European Climate Change Adaptation Conference (ECCA) to showcase the ICARIA project. This event, held from 16th to 18th June in Rimini (Italy), is Europe’sleading platform for sharing practical solutions, exchanging knowledge, and promoting collaboration on climate adaptation.
During the conference, they presented several of ICARIA’s key outcomes, including the Holistic Resilience Assessment Tools —which comprise the Critical Infrastructure Resilience Assessment Tool and the Holistic Resilience Assessment Framework—, as well as the Adaptation Measures Portfolio and the forthcoming ICARIA Decision Support System. These developments were highlighted alongside contributions from ICARIA’s sister projects, MIRACA and Riskadapt.
Additionally, within ECCA, European Regions such as the Àrea Metropolitana de Barcelona (AMB), the Region of Sicily and the City of Naples took part in a dedicated session to explore how these tools can support efforts to enhance the resilience of their critical infrastructure against extreme weather events.
